Mysteries: Egregiousness of Nescience
Miriam Kassem (9C)

“The gateway to mystery swings open at a touch of human weakness and we have entered the realms of darkness. One false step, one slurred syllable together reveal a man's thoughts.” This quote asserts and alludes that mysteries are the ideology and tenet of the inadequate and weak-minded, the cretinous and moronic prattle of backwardness, the phantoms and phantasm of countries with sparse abilities to prosper, and the gruesome and loathsome series of intellectual retardation. They have the uncanny wand of ruses, artifices, and tricks to stealthily trap the core of the easily hooked to imbecile and stupid babble. In fact, one can only notice the nuisances, pitfalls, and drawbacks of mysteries. Indeed, mysteries need ludicrous and preposterous bodies with absent minds and that have enough inner strength to shoulder the snags, flaws, and disadvantages of mysteries that vary between social by-products and psychological repercussions and outcomes.

On a social basis, mysteries procure and acquire diverse social drawbacks that range from social abolition and withdrawal to ceaseless mockery and bullying. To start with, mysteries shepherd, heave, and trail one to be socially alienated and stranded for a person delves and suffocates in enigmas’ ocean trying to detach the pieces of the puzzle forgetting all about his social life and relations with outer societies. For example, Karen Woodall, a psychotherapist and author of numerous and innumerable books, expressed in one of her wonders that 27% of the cases she was asked to cure and rehabilitate were related to the extreme interest in mysteries and superstitions that patients would never leave their rooms even after 3 consecutive days just searching for some sort of explanation or a key to fathom, comprehend, and analyze a specific riddle or quiz. Moreover, mysteries keep a person exposed to ceaseless and unbaiting bullying and mockery due to some irrational and absurd beliefs, one might unveil to people that imply critical thinking and sagacity to all of their movements and performances. For specimen, “Prejudicial Bullying” is the case in mysteries, for people are raised to the idea and belief that a person with a different type of thinking or involves mysteries and superstitious habits in his actions is said to be bullied until he no longer trusts those beliefs. Little did they know that 45% of those bullied people believe in mysteries and commit suicide as a means of escapism from this reality. Therefore, mysteries have the power to erode, blunt, and slacken one’s social life and weaken him until this person can no longer suffer and stand his life and decide to put his life on an end.
On the psychological scale, mysteries attain and effectuate crucial and decisive psychological repercussions that fluctuate from generating and precipitating neurological diseases and stress to originating and giving rise to emotional transience, mutability, and instability. To begin with, conundrums and closed books trigger stress, nervousness, anxiety, and neurological diseases. One may become fascinated and hypnotized by solving and disentangling mysteries.  If he or she can’t fathom or decipher them, he or she will escalate to the level of uttermost anger and rage that leads and pilots to consternation and tenseness. For example, OCD, Obsessive-compulsive disorder is a disorder in which patients get obsessed with magical, paranormal, and mysterious beliefs until they reach the point they might get anxiety through time if not surrounded by a theme related to mysteries and detaching riddles. Moreover, mysteries give rise to emotional vulnerability and impermanence. In fact, some people tend to be reliable to an extreme extent that they depend on mysteries to decide their mood for the day. They believe and give credence and credit to the philosophy that something totally bad might befall on them if they felt light-hearted throughout the day though they woke up on the wrong side of the bed. For instance, people claim that if “Jack the Ripper” visits you in your dreams, then you must not beam or twinkle the following day or either he would never come out from your dreams and sneaks to them on daily basis to scare you out of your wits. Thus, mysteries have the capacity and potentiality to preside over the psychosomatic state of a person if not armed by rationality, sagacity, and percipience to face his apprehensions and tackle those ludicrous hallucinations.

To sum up, mysteries entail a plethora of disadvantages and snags that fluctuate from communal by-products to psychosomatic repercussions and outcomes. Predictions are somehow related to mysteries. Since people are giving free rein to mysteries, then why not imagine our fate after a few centuries. Mysterious incidents will replace history, swindlers will be people’s role models, puzzled achievements will be our future scientific methods, mysterious creatures as ghosts will be the future Marlin Monroe,  and every ill person must be visited by a UFO to be cured otherwise he is cursed. People must destroy homes and shelters and replace them by haunted houses or else they must be collapsed and burned since normal homes are said to be signs of insanity of the owner. All one can say is- Yey for retardation!
